Glasgow to highlight the issue of stock transfer / the privatisation of Council Housing.
Activists from across Scotland will come together in Glasgow – BE THERE Central Hotel, (at the corner entrance beside the fire fighter statue) Gordon St,
Tuesday 10.30am to carry out an occupation of a relevant
building. Details will be released on the day, please be there.

This action is to SAVE OUR HOMES in Glasgow from the secretive demolition derby plan of the Glasgow Housing Association Ltd.
This action is to SAVE OUR EXCELLENT 24 HOUR CONCIERGE from its proposed destruction at the hands of the heartless landlord Glasgow Housing Association Ltd. Acting for the Government in Scotland against the tenants.
This action in Glasgow to highlight the issue of stock transfer / the PRIVATISATION OF COUNCIL HOUSING IN EDINBUGH AND THE REST OF SCOTLAND
There are Government plans to start the privatisation process in Edinburgh in November this year. Actively support Edinburgh Against Stock Transfer. Highlight the Edinburgh campaign against these evil plans to privatise Edinburgh’s Council housing.
We need as many people as possible to get to Glasgow on Tuesday.

This direct action is being taken by Tenants from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee and elsewhere to oppose the Proposed Destruction of the 24 Hour Concierge Service in the High Rise Flats in Glasgow. This represents the ongoing downgrading of Services to Tenants in the Multi Storey Flats which the Glasgow Housing Association Ltd. Is orchestrating so that tenants may feel unsafe and forced to leave their homes. The landlord, GHA Ltd., want creating a pretext for their Mass Demolition Programme and clear the Tenants to ‘free up’ the land for Private developers and to satisfy their Future Paymasters a Private Banking Consortium who only want to profit from the misery of the Glasgow’s tenants.
Communities Scotland are encouraging this ideological drive to Destroy Social Housing and Socially Mixed Communities. This is Class War by Scotland’s Elite against Working Class People. This must stop now!

WE DEMAND THAT MASSIVE CASH SURPLUS HORDED BY GHA Ltd. AND PAID FOR BY TAX PAYERS MUST BE INVESTED IN THE MULTI STOREY FLATS SO THAT TENANTS CAN LIVE IN HOMES THAT ARE WARM, DRY, SAFE AND SECURE.
WE ARE OPPOSED TO THE PLANS FOR ANY FUTURE PRIVATISATION OF COUNCIL HOUSING IN
EDINBURGH OR ANY PART OF SCOTLAND WHICH IS BEING DRIVEN BY COMMUNITIES
SCOTLAND. THEY ARE TRYING TO PUSH PRIVATISATION OF THE COMMUNITIES HOUSING IN
EDINBURGH,
THE WESTERN ISLES,INVERCLYDE AND REFREWSHIRE.
COUNCIL HOUSING SHOULD BE PROPERLY FUNDED. IN SCOTLAND, LAST YEAR ONLY 58 COUNCIL HOUSES WERE BUILT. ON PAPER SCOTLAND HAS A GREAT CHARTER FOR RIGHTS FOR THE HOMLESS BUT IN PRACTICE THE GOVERNMENT IS MAKING THE PROBLEM WORSE.
HOMELESSNESS IN SCOTLAND IS AT RECORD LEVELS
THE PRIVATISATION OF ALL PUBLIC SERVICES IS BEING DRIVEN BY THE RICH G8 COUNTRIES’ ELITES THROUGH THE GENARAL AGREEMENT ON TRADE AND TARIFFS (GAT) – THIS MUST END!
