GAP Building Appeal
As you will already be aware the Glasgow Autonomous Project is currently looking for premises out of which to run a social centre. After months of frustration trying to find premises we could afford to buy we have decided to sit out the current property boom by renting a space, and have for many months been involved in actively trying to find a property available for rent which meets our needs.
The GAP group have spent considerable time investigating property but we have so far been frustrated in our efforts, having placed offers on several properties but to no avail - even halfway suitable shops tend to be snapped up by businesses in very quick time.
We are therefore looking for friends and supporters of the project to lend us a hand in trying to find a suitable location for the project.
We are looking for a property that is a street-access shop front, centrally located, preferably within a working class area, that is affordable and is around 800 square feet in size. If you see something that you think might suit the project we would be very glad to hear from you.

PLEASE LET US KNOW ABOUT EVENTS HAPPENING IN AND AROUND GLASGOW SO THAT WE CAN INCLUDE THEM NEXT WEEK.
Preferred format is a short summary, with practical details of when and where, and a link to a web page for more detail. If you do not have a web site of your own, the excellent http://scotland.indymedia.org/ allows anyone to easily create a page letting others know what you have been, or are up to.
Send that to glasgowautonomyupdates@lists.riseup.net before Sunday for inclusion in the following week.

We see this fulfilled thru a society built upon principles of co-operation, solidarity, mutual-aid, direct democracy and freedom of association.
We are currently in the process of creating a social centre.
A place to have a cup of tea in a friendly, non commercial space, read a book or magazine and find out about stuff that's going on in the city, the country and the rest of the world.
A meeting place for wayward souls.
A resource centre for groups fighting for autonomy, freedom, solidarity, equality, sustainability, mutual aid and peace against poverty, war and oppression.
If you would like to contribute to the project financially please note the following details. We are looking for one-off donations but especially standing orders.
