Support the Vucaj Family 11am, Thursday 27 October - outside the Scottish Parliament
Glasgow Campaign to Welcome Refugees has called a demonstration outside the Parliament. They are inviting people to attend with campaign and other banners. The Vucaj family - refugees living in Glasgow - were brutally deported to Kosova on 29 September. They are now living in dreadful and dangerous conditions in Northern Albania.
Please come to the Parliament on Thursday 27 October @ 11.00 a.m. in support of the Vucaj family Note correction to earlier email - this demo has been called by Glasgow Campaign to Welcome Refugees, not PAIH At 2pm, in committee Room 3 of Scottish parliament: Peter Mullan & Robina Qureshi will show MSPs and interested individuals the film footage of their fact finding visit to the vucaj family in Northern Albania. It makes for difficult watching and is the first footage of what happens beyond deportation. We hope the film will help establish the compassionate humanitarian grounds for the family’s return to Glasgow. To confirm your attendance please email home@paih.org with the name(s) of the person wishing to attend.
