City Strolls - events - meetings
Thursday, August 11, 2005
GAP are happy to report that we signed the lease for our new social centre on Tuesday evening.
Please note that the centre is not open for business yet, but if you want to get involved we will be having our next group meeting at the usual time, 7pm Monday, in the centre. The centre is at 34 Clarendon Place, just off Maryhill Road. The sign at the moment is still from the previous occupier, tech.com.
Nearest underground - St Georges Cross
Bus no's - 18, 20, 54, 61, 66 (from city centre to St Georges Cross end of Maryhill Road)
We look forward to meeting any newcomers on Monday. Check the Autonomy Updates list for more news on when we'll be opening our doors to the public.

PLEASE LET US KNOW ABOUT EVENTS HAPPENING IN AND AROUND GLASGOW SO THAT WE CAN INCLUDE THEM NEXT WEEK.
Preferred format is a short summary, with practical details of when and where, and a link to a web page for more detail. If you do not have a web site of your own, the excellent http://scotland.indymedia.org/ allows anyone to easily create a page letting others know what you have been, or are up to.
Send that to glasgowautonomyupdates@lists.riseup.net before Sunday for inclusion in the following week.

We strive for a sustainable society where all people are free to live their lives as they see fit without fear of oppression, persecution or marginalization insofar as this does not prevent others from doing the same. We see this fulfilled thru a society built upon principles of co-operation, solidarity, mutual-aid, direct democracy and freedom of association.
We are currently in the process of creating a social centre.
A place to have a cup of tea in a friendly, non commercial space, read a book or magazine and find out about stuff that's going on in the city, the country and the rest of the world.
A meeting place for wayward souls.
A resource centre for groups fighting for autonomy, freedom, solidarity, equality, sustainability, mutual aid and peace against poverty, war and oppression.
If you would like to contribute to the project financially please note the following details. We are looking for one-off donations but especially standing orders.
