20 April: Israeli terrorism and Palestinian resistance
Glasgow: Wednesday 20th April 7.30pm, Renfield Saint Stephens Church, 260 Bath Street (next to Elmbank Street)
Professor Ted Honderich is emeritus professor of Philosophy and holds the Grote chair in the Philosophy of Mind and Logic at University College London. In his book After the Terror, he claims ‘a moral right on behalf of the Palestinians to their terrorism’, and ‘that it is permissible if not obligatory for them to engage in it’, given the sustained brutality and butchery directed against them.
He will also not shy away from the question of suicide bombings, so it is expected to be a profound and thought provoking talk.
